Can you ship items outside Japan?

The countries we can ship items to are limited. Please click here for more details.

Some of the reasons for this can be because of high tariffs and domestic taxes, or the fact deliveries cannot be properly tracked, etc.

Also, large artwork cannot be shipped outside Japan - please read description for each item to see if it can be shipped outside Japan or not.

 

What are the shipping options?

(Inside Japan) We use parcel delivery services. For large sized artworks that cannot be shipped by parcel delivery services, we will use other shipping methods, or either Kokkyoku or the artist themselves will directly ship it to you.

(Outside Japan) We use either EMS or SAL. You may select your preferred method at the check-out. Please refer to Shipment Policy for further detail. SAL can be cheaper than EMS, but it takes from 2 weeks to 1 month for you to be able to start tracking its shipping status.

We recommend using EMS for high-priced items.

For large artwork, we will pack it by taking it off from canvas, roll it around hard pipe, and put it inside cardboard box and ship it to you.

However, we may not be able to pack certain artworks using this method.

For any artworks that cannot be delivered outside Japan, we will always state "Sold inside Japan only", so please be careful not to place order on such item if you are from outside Japan.

If you accidentally ordered "Sold inside Japan Only" item, please cancel the order by sending us an email from "Contact Us" within 24hours of your purchase to cancel the order.

 

How much does it cost for shipping?

* The shipping is free inside Japan.

* For shipping outside Japan, the shipping cost will be displayed at the check-out. You can also check the approximate shipping fees from here.

 

How do you pack your product?

First we place our product inside plastic bag and seal it with packing tape to prevent moisture.

We then wrap it with cushioning material before placing it inside cardboard box for shipping.

For items that do not fit inside plastic bag due to its large size, we use other methods to make sure the artwork will be protected from moisture.

 

Why does it take longer for certain items to be shipped?

For those items that require extra work done after the order confirmation, such as framing or making it into a wall scroll, will take longer time until it is ready to be shipped.

 

Where will my order be shipped from?

(For shipment inside Japan) Either Kokkyoku or the artist will directly ship it to you.

(For shipment outside Japan) All orders will be shipped to you by Kokkyoku.

 

Can I pay by bank transfer?

Customers who reside in Japan and have their bank accounts in Japan can choose to pay by bank transfer.

All transaction fees must be paid by buyers.

Please make a payment by transferring money to the bank account that we specify, within 5 days of us sending you an invoice via email.

Any unpaid order over 5 days will be automatically cancelled; unfortunately we have to ask you to place the order again should your order be cancelled.

* Name of the person placing an order must match the name of the person making payment by money transfer. If these names are different, then we will not be able to confirm your payment. If payment will be done with a different name, then please contact us as soon as possible.

 

Can I pay by cash on delivery?

Unfortunately we do not accept payment on delivery.

 

Can I have a look at the artwork directly?

Unfortunately you cannot. Each artwork is kept with its artist.

If you reside inside Japan, and if you are considering about purchasing high-price artwork (valued over 500K yen), then please consult us by sending us an email from "Contact Us".

There may be some cases where you will be allowed to have a look at artworks directly, depending on the circumstances.
