Noho Calligraphy Calligraphy Black Thorn Nohoh japanesecalligrapher Shodo kokkyoku

She was born into a family that was running a shop specialized in making calligraphy and sumi-e artworks into hanging scrolls, and grew up in an environment where she was always surrounded by hanging scroll artworks like calligraphy and ink paintings.

After graduating from Aichi University of the Arts, Faculty of Arts, Oil Painting Division, she began her activities as a professional calligrapher.

Her distinctive features as an artist include not only her calligraphy artworks, but also her creative style of making her own artworks and then further making them into hanging scrolls.

She contributed herself to spreading the Japanese calligraphy culture in borderless manner, by opening Japanese calligraphy courses on globally-well-known e-Learning website

She is also working actively as a designer both in Japan and internationally.
